In a consent judgment entered on January 11, 2023, the court ordered Oxlade to pay N5 million damages in two installments. The judge further chastised him for treating the judicial process with disrespect and accused his lawyer of aiding him in desecrating the temple of justice.

It’s a crime

In a judgment on Tuesday, a judge in Lagos state said that Oxlade’s action was despicable, horrendous, distasteful and classless. He also admonished the singer to act with utmost circumspection in his relationship with others, especially the opposite sex.

The court ordered Oxlade to pay damages of N5 million in two instalments, split into N2 and N3 million. The judgement was entered by Justice O. A. Oresanya of a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja.
