Piper Perabo Steps Out in Style

Piper Perabo is back in the spotlight after her starring role in Covert Affairs. The actress stepped out for the Upfront Event at Lincoln Center in New York on Tuesday wearing a one-shoulder silver dress that looked pretty on her.

But it was her pale winter legs that gave the look away. She also appeared to forget to apply fake tan to her lower body.

Shoes

The star of the 2000 blockbuster Coyote Ugly, Piper Perabo has been putting in some serious work in Hollywood. A summa cum laude graduate of Ohio University with a BFA in acting, she hit the New York City audition circuit after graduation and soon landed roles in the likes of Single Spaced (1997), Whiteboyz (1999), and The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000).

She’s also been making some waves on television with guest spots on House and Law and Order, as well as her breakout role as gutsy CIA trainee Annie Walker in the spy drama series Covert Affairs. She wore a pair of really cool shoes in the show, but we can’t seem to find them for sale. The aforementioned ‘Devote’ pumps feature pointed toes that are really pretty and gold-detailed ankle straps inspired by handcuffs. They’re available from Sophia Webster at Saks Fifth Avenue. The best part? They’re available in several colors, including a red-hot poppy hue.

Dresses

Piper Perabo, whose most famous role was in the 2000 box office hit Coyote Ugly, recently tied the knot in a gorgeous Michael Kors wedding gown. The actress donned a long-sleeved silver and nude pattern gown, which she offset with a light-yellow veil. Her groom, director-producer Stephen Kay, wore a blue three-piece suit. The couple got engaged last September on the set of her TV show Covert Affairs, and they held a New Orleans-themed wedding in NYC.

The figure-hugging Michael Kors dress isn’t the first time we’ve seen it; in 2013, Jennifer Lopez wore it to the Met Gala. In her version, she paired it with dark smoky eye makeup and nude lips. She also wore her hair in a topknot with slicked-back sides that resembled a faux hawk. She matched the gown with black platform heels and a two-tiered veil. Piper’s dress, however, is a disaster for her diaphanous feet, so we can’t wait to see her rock this style again at next year’s Academy Awards.

Bags

The best part about this award winning bag is that it can be used as a night on the town or as an overnight travel bag. The interior is lined with soft supple leather with a padded back panel for added comfort. The main compartment has a sleeve for your wallet, phone and passport as well as a large zippered pocket for your miscellaneous items such as your lunch, swag or spare change. This is a worthy upgrade to your favorite hotel room.

Piper Perabo has been a name on the Hollywood radar for a few years, first with her star turn in 2000’s Coyote Ugly. But she’s also been a fixture on USA Network with her latest show, Covert Affairs, which follows a tough-as-nails agent.

A few months after President Trump’s election, she was invited to participate in a march against white supremacy from Charlottesville, Virginia, to D.C. It was the first time she’d taken time off work to engage in political action, and it was her most meaningful experience so far.

She was nervous, but she didn’t let it stop her from joining the event, a day that left her reeling and inspired. “It was the most eye-opening moment of my life, and it changed me forever,” she says.

She’s since been applying her activism skills to a campaign for a seat on the national board of her union, SAG-AFTRA. She’s using the power of the industry to press filming hotspot Georgia to repeal its six-week abortion ban. She’s also taking her activism on the road: She spoke last December at Politico’s Women Rule event in D.C.
