Young Dolph named his second album Bulletproof after a situation he experienced. Sadly, Young Dolph was killed on November 17, 2021, in a shooting in Memphis, Tennessee. He was shot by two men in a white car outside a bakery. The doctors found out he was shot 22 times, and he was buried in a ceremony on November 30th. In the beginning of 2022, the police found out that the two people involved were a 23-year-old named Justin Johnson and a 32-year-old named Cornelius Smith. In February, the two said they didn’t do the first-degree murder. In November 2022, another person was charged with a crime related to the killing of Young Dolph and the plot to kill a 43-year-old man named Hernandez Govan, who is believed to have arranged for Dolph’s murder. The trial for the murder will happen in March 2024.
