HMI stands for Human-Machine Interface and refers to the point of interaction between a human and a device – or a vehicle, in the case of Automotive. An automotive HMI includes displays and controls that allow drivers to operate and monitor their cars more precisely.

The rise of mobile devices in daily life has led to a demand for seamless integration with automotive HMIs. This would offer more opportunities to enhance user experience, safety, and convenience.

However, integrating a mobile device with an HMI system requires following some best practices.
