The girls were taken to an abandoned house off highway 77, just before road 35 in Milford. Once inside, Jeter savagely attacked Kiersten first, who bravely shouted for her sibling to run away.

But she was no match for her mother, who slashed her throat and then slit Kelsey’s throat as well.

Despite being a licensed nurse, Jeter did not call for help in the wake of her daughter’s gruesome attack. Instead, she walked around the abandoned house, which was situated on the outskirts of Hillsboro.

What happened to Debra?

Debra Jeter was a mother who had two kids with her husband Lester. The couple had been married for over 20 years but had a divorce in May 2009.

While in the midst of her separation, Debra attempted suicide in front of her children and was sent to a mental health care facility. She also had a restraining order against her that was dropped the day she was released from hospital and was granted temporary custody of their kids.

She later stabbed her youngest daughter, Kiersten, in the back. Kelsey died after she was repeatedly slashed across her throat, while Kiersten tried to save her sister from the attack.
