Oxlade Fined $5 Million Over Leaked Sex Tape
Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Oxlade, popularly known as Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman was recently enmeshed in a sex scandal. A leaked sex tape of him with an unidentified lady found its way online and it’s currently trending on social media.
A High Court of Lagos State has awarded N5 million damages against the artiste. The court stated that Oxlade had released a video of himself having sex with a woman without her consent.

A High Court in Lagos, Nigeria has awarded N5 million damages against a singer, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, also known as Oxlade over a leaked sex tape with a woman on social media platform, Snapchat. The singer’s actions were deemed “despicable, horrible, wicked and classless”, a judgment by Justice Olalekan Oresanya of the Ikeja High Court reads. The judge who entered terms of settlement on 11 January, 2023, ordered the singer to pay the sum of N5 million in two instalments.
Fined $5 Million
Following the release of his leaked sex tape with a woman, a Nigerian musician has been fined $5 million. The singer whose sex tape went viral on social media in 2022 has been given the sum by a Lagos High Court.
The case was filed by Blessing, who claimed that Oxlade had leaked the video without her consent. She also accused him of violating enabling laws, and her fundamental rights to dignity, privacy and freedom from discrimination.
Justice Olalekan Oresanya characterized Oxlade’s actions as “despicable, horrendous, classless and disgusting.” In his ruling on January 24, 2023, Oresanya ordered the singer to pay Blessing damages of $5 million over two instalments of $3 million and $2 million, respectively.
According to the judgment, Oxlade was also prohibited from starting any legal process or discussing any of the issues raised in the lawsuit on any platform or before a third party. Similarly, he was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
