Family Background 

Joey and Mary Jo Buttafuoco were married in 1977. Mary Jo later became a motivational speaker. In 1983, they welcomed their first child, Jessica Buttafuoco. A year later, they divorced. However, they came to accept this relationship after a year of hiding. They remarried in 1992. Paul is the second child of the couple. In his personal life, he is a motivational speaker and author.

Son was an Inspiration 

The Buttafuocos met at the Lingerie Bowl. Paul subsequently married Mary Jo Buttafuoco, who was also a photographer. Joey and Mary Jo Buttafuoco are both 66 years old. Their son, Paul, inspired them to write the book. However, their relationship ended in divorce in 2007. The Buttafuocos were reunited at the Lingerie Bowl in 2006, which is the occasion for Joey Fisher’s return to the spotlight.

In 1992, her husband, Paul Buttafuoco, had a relationship with Amy Fisher. After their marriage, she was shot in the face by a young woman named Amy Fisher. Although the two were separated at the time of the shooting, Mary Jo Buttafuoco was paralyzed from the neck down.

Guilty for Several Charges 

After serving four months in prison, Joey Buttafuoco was released after pleading guilty to several charges. He posed as Mary Jo Fisher’s fictional sister Ann Marie, and offered him a T-shirt featuring the auto body shop logo. However, Joey Buttafuoco and Mary Jo Buttafuoco were married. They had two children together.


Joey Buttafuoco’s lawyer sold the story to movie producers, and he was sentenced to a year in jail. He was released in March 1994 after serving four months in jail for violating probation. Afterwards, he was eligible for parole after five years. The two children were reunited in their lives after he served his sentence. However, Mary Fisher was no longer happy with their sex life.
